"I want to get 100 caches in a day..."

"Uh."

"...tomorrow."

"Uh."

"Wanna go?"

"Uh. Uhm. Well. OK. Sure. Why not. I've got nothing better to do."

This conversation took place on the evening of 8/8/09. I showed up at MzBluBrd's house shortly after 7:30am the next morning. With MrBluJ behind the wheel, off we went. We were headed north to an area where neither of us had found many caches. At 8:19 am we found our first cache Frontin on a Frontage So began an odyssey that ended 18 hours later with finding My Heroes Have Always Been Firefighters. Several times throughout the day MzBluBrd expressed disappointment that there wasn't a challenge cache to mark our accomplishment. Since I had the laptop with the aircard fired up in the backseat, I double checked and then even asked AD0OR, owner of most of the other Challenge of the Century caches, about it. None existed. So here you go MzBluBrd, this one is for you.

And all you other nutty, obsessed cachers out there who have done 100 in a day. (For anyone who is offended at being called nutty and obsessed, please keep in mind I'm qualified for this challenge :-P ) Since the purpose of this cache is simply to mark the accomplishment, I'm not going to put any date requirement on it. Anyone goofy enough to spend that long getting caches in a day is welcome to lay claim.

To avoid any debates a day is defined as any 24 hour or less caching run that was not broken by sleep or any other break more significant than a stop for a meal or two.

To log a find you must qualify by:

  • finding 100 caches in a day
  • signing this final cache which is at the posted coordinates

In your log please share the date of your accomplishment and how long it took you.

Hope everyone has as much fun as we did accomplishing silly caching goals.
