Nylars Church is one of four round churches and definitely worth a visit. The church was built in 1160 and is considered to be the best preserved one. Inside, you can admire the murals at the centre pillar which tell the story of the creation of Adam and Eva, the Fall and their banishment from the paradis. The church also shows its use for defence protecting from hostile attack. Nylars Church is dedicated to St. Nicolaus of Myra, the patron of the seafarer.
