Geocache Description:

This cache is a 30-cal ammo can hidden in the woods! Yippee! None of those stinking micros or nanos!

This cache was originally hidden near the site of the original geocache placed in Pope County, AR, "Beaver's Lair" (GCB541) by Wsteven. Beaver's Lair was wiped out in early 2009 by high water and the owner decided to archive the cache. "Beaver's Lair" was the very first geocache find for me and many other local geocachers in those early days of the game.

After I placed my cache, I found out that Beaver's Lair's owner had decided to revive his cache. So I let him have his old spot back, but sadly that made my cache too close to his. So I disabled mine and went on a quest to find a new hiding spot.

The cache was hidden in a special way at its first location and I wanted to duplicate that in the new spot, and not just any place would do. After one failed attempt, I finally found another good spot, but quite a distance from the original hiding spot. Also, it is not hidden in the manner I had intended. However, I am still happy with the hide and the name is still appropriate.

Note that a bushwhack of about 100 feet or so will be required to reach the cache's hiding spot.
