Geocache Description:

Cache container is bigger than a film canister but will only hold very small items. I mananged to wedge of couple of items in it. Just a word of caution though. This area is very popular with hunters during deer season. If there are vehicles parked at the parking coords, that means there are hunters in the area. I don't think where the cache is located should be a problem but please be careful. Wearing blaze orange might not be a bad idea at this time of year(end of October to December)

During the 1960's the Ministry of Natural Resources began acquiring land in the Nonquon Wetland as part of a provincial policy to protect the dwindling Class 1 Wetland habitat. Eventually, it established the Nonquon Provincial Wildlife Area. It comprises approximately 1300 ha of land surrounding the Nonquon River, with a wide variety of wetland, field, and forest communities. It is a multi-use area permitting such activities as fishing, snowmobiling, education, hiking, trapping, canoeing, hunting, orienteering, and scientific research.

They forgot to mention that it is also a great place for geocaching.

This one is located near the junction of Reach St and HWY 7/12. It is a short walk from the parking area, overlooking a swamp and near the Nonquon river.

No extra hints are needed. Just wave to all the non-enlightened as they drive past on the highway.
