In 2004 I began my caching career, finding GCBBA during a trip from Halifax to Bridgewater with the GPS I had just bought off of eBay. Soon I had the bug to hide a geocache, so I mimicked my first find, hiding it in the circular offramp at Exit #10. That was 5 years ago.
Today, on the 5 year anniversary of that hide, I held an event in Mahone Bay to celebrate 5 years of hiding. And on the way to the event, I stopped and placed my 161st cache, once again a fairly quick cache for people wanting to exit the highway. The easiest approach is to park at the carpool parking lot and go from there; no bushwhacking required. As a special prize for the FTF, I left one of my last antique gold 2006 personal coins. These coins are only available as FTF prizes in special caches I place.
Here's to 5 more years of hiding (and maintaining ;) ) Tupperware in the land of Canada's first geocaching.
