Outside the bell tower of Bodils Kirke there is a strange, hat-shaped stone. It is called Devil's hat. The story says that long time ago the pastor of Bodilsker was chased by the devil. In the nick of time the priest rescued himself jumping onto the churchyard where holy ground prevented him from further chase. This caused the devils rage that he threw his hat at the clergyman. Luckily, he missed and the hat got stuck in the bell tower where it can be seen still today.
Normally, the tower cannot be visited. But once you come when the big bell is ringing you might have a chance. Besides the two bells you can admire the great view til Dueodde and Nexø. Try at 6 p.m.
Task:
Look for the tree-like tombstone and note the year of birth and the year of death.
Find the cache at: N 55° 03.(year of birth - 1145) E 015° 04.(year of death – 1523).
