[DA] Vester Palsgaard Skovmuseum ligger midt i Palsgård Skov nær
Hærvejen og Hovedvej A13.
Skovmuseet har til huse i den tidligere skovridergård og rummer
både egns- og skovmuseum, turistkontor og lokalhistorisk arkiv.
Her i Vester Palsgaard Skovmuseums smukke gamle bygninger formidles
egnens historie i tekst og billeder, udstillinger og aktiviteter.
Museet rummer også en god butik, en lille café, ligesom man er
velkommen til at medbringe egen madkurv.
Der er gode vandreture i skoven på afmærkede stier.
Endvidere er det muligt at åbne museet efter aftale.
[ENG] Vester Palsgaard Forest Museum is situated in the middle of
Palsgaard Forest and near The Ancient Highway and Mainroad A13.
The Jutland Ridge Museum of Local History has now moved into Vester
Palsgaard – a 200-year old manor house. The museum is housed in the
former Forest Supervisor’s residence and presents a fine collection
from the Nørre Snede region, including textiles, toys and pictures.
Vester Palsgaard Forest Museum has forestry and local history,
nature information centre, local archive and tourist information
office.
Vester Palsgaard Forest Museum will present local culture and
history from ancient times to the present day, with the emphasis on
the history of the woods.
Visitors can also take a walk in Palsgaard Woods, which contains a
network of signposted trails.
The woods are liberally endowed with traces of ancient cultures:
burial mounds, wheel tracks and milestones, for example.
Coffee and cakes for sale. Visitors are also welcome to bring
packed lunches with them.
There is a posibility to open the museum by appointment.
[DE] Das heimatgeschichtliche Højderyggens Egnsmuseum befindet sich
jetzt in der 200 Jahre alten Försterei Vester Palsgaard. Hier wird
im Frühsommer 2006 ein neues Heimat- und Waldmuseum mit
Naturvermittlungszentrum, heimatgeschichtlichem Archiv und
Touristeninformation eingerichtet. Das Waldmuseum wird die örtliche
Kulturgeschichte von der Vorzeit bis heute vermitteln, mit Fokus
auf die Geschichte des Waldes. Man kann auch im Wald Palsgård Skov
auf markierten Wegen mit Namen spazieren gehen. Der Wald ist reich
an vorzeitlichen Spuren, u.a. Grabhügeln, Fahrspuren und
Kohlenmeilen- Höhlen. Das Heimatmuseum befindet sich in der
ehemaligen Försterwohnung direkt am Heerweg und verfügt z.B. über
eine schöne Sammlung von u.a. lokalen Textilien, Spielzeug und
Bildern. Verkauf von Kaffee und Gebäck. Speisen und Getränke dürfen
auch mitgebracht werden.
