This is our first attempt at placing a cache, in one of our favourite places for a sunday afternoon stroll. There are two other caches nearby, one of which could be done with this one as a circular walk.
There are various trails around Haughmond Hill, some of which are more buggy/wheelchair friendly than others. If you choose the right trail you'll be able to get your buggy to within 30 feet of the cache location, which is visible from the trail if you know where to look (we managed to get our 'all-terrain' buggy right up to the cache site).
The veiws from the cache site can be quite spectacular, and are a bit different from the marked veiw points elsewhere on Haughmond.
This is our first attempt at a cache, it is a medium sized clip lock box in a camo bag, containing the usual goodies for children, log book etc - please don't take the pencil or pencil sharpener! There's also certificates for first and second to find.
The only thing that sometimes spoils a walk on Haughmond for us are inconsiderate dog owners who don't clear up after their dogs (or worse, clear up then leave the bag on the path!) we hope this doesn't affect your walk, as we still think it is a lovely area.
