Whitepine
Cemetery
In Loving Memory of William H & Nora
E Jacks (Grandparents)
Now
Called Whitepine Trout Creek
Cemetery
Both grandparents grew
up in the Whitepine area near here. As I have been told, on
opposite sides of the highway just east of here near the old
Whitepine Store (now torn
down).
I have a lot of great
and fond memories of my grandparents as a kid; 1965 ford falcon,
old hand ringer washing machine in front yard, homemade donuts,
cigars, Walter Cronkite on the tube, fern forts, humming birds
galore, blanket forts under table, x-lax in the cupboard (I won't
go there) and many
more.
Grandpa worked for the
Railroad most all his life around the Thompson to Clark Fork area
and was a huge man. Every weekend he would drive out to CF and grab
one or two of us kids to come to Noxon to visit for the weekend. My
brother and I would fight to see who got to sleep on the couch. The
loser would have to sleep on the
floor.
Grandma spent most of
her time at home and always had fresh breads or donuts or cookies
on the table cooling. She would let us kids help her wash the
clothes on the old washing machine and for some reason she made it
fun for us. (she must have been related to Tom Sawyer). She always
had humming bird flocking the feeders, sometimes we would have so
many outside us kids would be scared to venture
out.

We're branching out
and putting a couple caches out this way in support of the local
cachers who've kept us coming out here to see the area by placing
their caches
Cache is a camo container. Cache is NOT in the cemetery. But we
wish you would have a look around after the hunt and say hello to
our dearly departed that rest here. When you see the Jacks, Sand, Eichert, Whalen and a couple more I've
forgotten, give then a
nod.
Parking-a-plenty and
unfortunately it may not be handi-cachable due to ground
terrain.
