Welcome to Bruar Falls, my favourite gentle walk.
Bruar Falls is a series of waterfalls flowing down a narrow gorge about 8 miles from Pitlochry. It consists of two large waterfalls and many small drops carving its way through the rocky edge. The walk around the gorge is approximately 1.5 miles with some steep inclines all the way to the top. Most able bodied persons should manage the walk, however good solid footwear is highly recommended due to some of the uneven tracks. The path follows quite close to the gorge at times with serious drops so extra care should be taken, especially if you are walking with children. The walk can be started from one of two tracks with variable difficulties, however I recommend it is done anti-clockwise using the east track as this will give you the best of the views. Taking the west route will seriously block the view to the upper bridge and the biggest of the waterfalls and will require you to continually turn around to take the views in.
This is my favourite view on this walk. A truly outstanding view of the upper bridge in the distance and the largest waterfall tumbling from under it. Its a long way down to fall here so extra care should be taken. GPS was playing up here for some reason but the clue should get you to the cache.
