If you see a fairy ring
Near a field of grass,
Very lightly step around,
Tiptoe as you pass;
Last night fairies frolicked there,
And they're sleeping somewhere near.
If you see a tiny fae
Lying fast asleep,
Shut your eyes and run away,
Do not stay or peep;
And be sure you never tell,
Or you'll break a fairy spell.
~ William Shakespeare
Park in the Smithmill Road parking area of White Clay Creek State park, off of Papermill Road (A state park fee or annual pass is required.) Take the paved trail that leads toward the cache. Please do not cut across the large mowed area of the field. For a longer walk, park at Papermill County Park. Just a little bushwhacking is required. On the weekends, you might see fairies flying in the field. (sometimes, fairies fly R/C glider airplanes.)
My daughter and I enjoyed working on this cache together. The FTF prize chosen by my daughter is actually a FKTF (First KID to Find) prize, best suited for a young fan of fairy folk.
Had a jumpy signal, so please advise if you find more accurate coordinates. Have fun!
Update October 2019. More than 10 years later, the cache is still in good shape. The new paved trail has simplified access, but I needed to move the cache a few feet.
