Geocache Description:

A multi-cache in Littlewick Green village. Solve GC1XB61 first to get the first clue.

Littlewick Green is a small village in the north of the parish of White Waltham in Berkshire. Littlewick Green's houses, including a school, church and pub, surround an idyllic triangular village green. It has been used for the filming of Midsomer Murders and is famous as the one-time home of composer, singer and actor Ivor Novello.

You are looking for a small clip-lock plastic container containing a log-book and some swaps. There is good parking around the green and a good pub next to the green to relax in after your searching.

The cache is not at the listed co-ordinates. Follow the clues here to find the final co-ordinates.

First find the nearby cache GC1XB61: Church Micro 838...Littlewick Green. At the top of the Geocaching explanation sheet there will be a large number. This number is “A”

Next, go around to the other side of the church to N 51° 30.879 W 000° 47.354 and find the memorial to Ivor Novello placed by the Ivor Novello Appreciation Bureau in 2001. In which month was this memorial placed ? This month is “BC”. For example, if January is the month, BC = 01, if its December, BC = 12.

Now go to the Gilchrist Thomas Village Hall at N 51° 30.828 W 000° 47.562. In front of the hall, under the balcony is a wooden bench displaying a very prominent year. The year is DEFG

The cache can be found at:

N 51° (D+1)B.(C-D)AA W GFE° (D+D)A.(C-D)1(G+3)

Please be careful to replace the cache out of view and be careful of passers-by.

Good Luck !
