I have been wanting to hide a cache here ever since I found this place. Neat area, neat cache, tricky hide. I'm kind of proud of this one. Hope everyone enjoys it.
After finding some caches at the sulpher springs, I wanted to know more about the history of the area. I knew Oneonta had a museum because I had seen the green sign that said Museum, it even had an arrow that pointed up the street. To bad the arrow didn't point across the street. It would have saved PSP and me about 20 minutes of driving up and down 2nd Ave looking for it. A couple of times I even turned around in the parking lot. Finally a small sign caught my eye and I could not believe that this little tiny building I drove past a million times was a museum. But the real treasures are inside. I have been to a lot of nice museums but I think I enjoyed this one the most because it had so much information about areas I am actually familiar with. If its open when you visit and you need to get out of the elements then I suggest you step inside and take a little tour of Blount County history.
