Geocache Description:

A .1 mile walk, in the summer, on a trail built for the handicapped.

The cache is located in the Bonfils-Stanton Outdoor Center across the highway from Winter Park Resort. This facility is sponsored by the NSCD (National Sports Center for the Disabled) and is designed to allow those in wheel chairs to enjoy a daytime picnic and over night camping We have walked, cross country skied, and snow shoed through this area many times and on several occasions have seen a large Bull Moose. We let him know that he is in control.

If you want more of a hike, go through the Center to the trail head for the Jim Creek Trail which will take you to the base of James Peak. In any event, take a camera --summer or winter-- for some great shots of the WP Ski Area.

The initial contents of the cache are 15 water pistols to "protect yourself from the moose" and a travel bug.

Congrats to rsheppard as FTF
