Come to the Racetrack Crossroads for
a shocking discovery
This is a crossroad of three dimensional irony. Whiskey Lake
Racetrack is nearby, one obvious racetrack pattern. Yet, if you
should happen upon this cache during the week, you will notice the
racetrack above you, too.
Depending upon winds and time of visit, this cache will give you a
noisy wonderful view of aircraft in a traffic pattern, or can give
you a noisy wonderful view of race cars.
The best approach to this cache is Exit 301 off I-70, then turn
east on Whiskey Lake road. As you drive along Whiskey Lake Road,
you will get a great view of Marshall Army Airfield. Access to the
cache and the cache itself is not on Marshall Army Airfield or Fort
Riley. The roads are public, and the cache is placed in public
right-of-way for the county roads.
Bring your own pen to log this cache. It can hold small items and
coins.
