An easy trading cache next to Slikok Creek Park at the end of Artifact Street. You'll need to walk up a moderate slope into the woods on the side of the Right-Of-Way heading down toward the creek. Please replace the natural camo over the cache when you're done logging it.
Down at the creek below this cache is a fish weir that is used to count the number of salmon going up Slikok Creek and cut off additional fish once the optimum escapement level is reached. A section of the boardwalks for the new trail on the college side is also visible.
Plan to spend some time at the park and complete the Slikok Cipher Project Multi-Cache (GC1FRYG) while you're in the neighborhood. It's quite the adventure! And the puzzle Zoinks! (GC1G984) is out there somewhere waiting for you sniff out the methodology of dot ciphers. Oh yeah, and there are boardwalks down along the Kenai River for salmon fishing if you're so inclined. Check the regs closely as this area is closed to fishing during a portion of King season.
