The Log-Ness Monster Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kidicarus: If you had read the listing, then the fact that that ground zero was 'totally over grown with brambles and nettles' was the whole point of siting the cache in that location?!

Geocache Description:

The Log-Ness monster is a creature believed to inhabit the 'Sea of Stingers' high above Cockington village. Popular interest and belief in the animal has fluctuated since it was brought to the world's attention during the storms of 1987. Evidence of its existence is anecdotal, with minimal and much disputed photographic material and sonar readings.

A variety of explanations have been tossed about over the years to account for sightings of the Log-Ness monster. The scientific community regards the monster as a modern-day myth, and explains sightings as a mixture of hoaxes and wishful thinking. This is a creature that few have ever witnessed. If on approach to the area one is very quiet, it might just be possible to approach ground zero whilst the monster sleeps and retrieve the cache silently. At worse you'll die trying. If seen, please do not attempt to feed or catch the animal at any cost.
