Geocache Description:

Placed as part of my 'Shroom series, this was hidden to help celebrate National Mushroom Month in September at "There's a Fungus Among Us at Trout Creek". The cache is a Rubbermaid Lock-It hidden a bit off-trail in the Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Park..you will have to bushwhack the last few hundred feet.



The name of this cache was actually inspired by a surreal story my Mom told me about her fascination with purple mushrooms when she was a little girl. Well, she was born in the 1960s!

But whether you know this strange tale or not, I hope you have fun finding the cache. After you find it, if you walk just a little further, you will see a great view of a swamp! Have fun!
