MORE HISTORY

THE CACHE STORY
All my life I've driven by this old railroad station. Demo'd
years ago due to it being an unsafe and abandoned building this
land is now home to the new rise of Monroe, leading it forward
through the new millennium. I can still remember that old station
from when I was younger and reading the word "ERIE" engraved in the
cement and stone work. Today you can still explore this ancient
piece of history, but not many do, which is why I have placed this
here for you to learn.
Stage 1 is a little offset, but you should know where to go. The
final is a film cannister wrapped in a bit of history. You'll
see.
THE FUTURE
It is my belief that these old rail beds will all turn in to
rail trails. The success of the Heritage Trail has expanded along
the old railroad on both ends, currently snaking out Northwest
towards Wawayanda and as far Southeast as Airplane Park in Monroe.
I think with the expansion of the trail it's only a matter of time
before bicyclists and runners will travel through this historic
site not only for some good exercise but to remember our roots,
since so many who travel have certainly forgotten.
Good luck!
Congrats on FTF: GOEX
