Geocache Description:

Emma Gorge is part of the Cockburn Ranges. It has pool and falls and for you to enjoy the swim you will have to walk 1.6 km one way on some very rocky terrain but it will be worth to see the beautiful rainforest closer to the falls. Once you reach there you will be rewarded with a refreshing swim in the impressive and icy plunge pool.

The resort was rebuilt after Cyclone Ingrid 2005. It brought almost 500mm of rain and the raging torrent of water devastated Emma Gorge and buried the resort under tonnes of sand and debris! We couldn’t believe it when we visited after it was rebuilt, everything looked different from our previous visits.

A valid Wilderness Park Permit or Emma Gorge Day Pass is required to walk this gorge. Permits are available at all EL Questro outlets.

The cache is hidden near the resort on the side of bridge, just past a swimming pool

Happy Hunting.
