A snag is a standing, dead hollow tree that many types of wildlife will use as a den- from bats to bears. A large snag once stood here, but now it rests along the side of the trail. Hike the Natural Garden Trail and look out for this large, hollow log. The cache will be nearby.
This cache was placed by Mountain Trek Camp '09 at the North Carolina Arboretum.
