TrailMix 16 will be in Yellowwood State Forest off of Highway 46 Between Bloomington and Nashville.
Let’s do a TrailMix. It has been way to long since the last one and I can’t stand being away from you guys any longer. We are going to meet at the Lake Trail Trailhead in Yellowwood State Forest on November 1 at 1:00. Of course there will be delicious Poptarts to munch on but you’ll want to grab some lunch before you come.
The 6 mile hike will take you through a typical Indiana forest with a pine grove or two thrown in for extra pleasure. I would rate the terrain for the first 3 miles at 2-1/2. The last three miles will be trekked over hillier terrain that I would rate a 3. The midway point will take us over the road you drove in on and can be walked back to the car if you want to eliminate the hills for about a 4 mile total hike.
If you have never been to a TrailMix come join us and you will be hooked. We hike, cache & talk. No matter what your athletic ability is you will never be alone on the trail.
