Geocache Description:

American Legion Park Veterans Memorial

YO-GeoKids and Intl_family want you to know more about our early veterans. In 1862 during the Dakota War this was a community of less than 1000. Many men from this area went to the defense of New Ulm (Dr. W.W. Mayo was one of them). Read on the back side of the memorial how as many men were lost in that conflict as in the whole of the Civil War ! ---- and twice as many as in the Vietnam War !

Be VERY STEALTHY! Muggles are EVERYWHERE !!!!

Go down to the Mayo House, on Main Street, and read the signs there about the Le Sueur Tigers. There is a geocache there, too!
