Geocache Description:

This was placed to satisfy "Flash in a Cache". I picked the Sheep card. This is placed at Windy Ghoul, up on a hill with some other caches close by. It's a steep little hike at points.

Big Papa has 21 grandchildren and the first dozen are old enough to remember when Dan kept sheep. They would mimic him by talking out of the corner of their mouth and with their worst Irish brogue say "time to feed the sheep" in a very comical, irreverent way. He had raised sheep as a boy back in Ireland and was proud of his flock. He allowed the children to name them until the time that they started naming them after themselves and then asked "where are they?" after the slaughter. The story goes-and he could not tell this story with a straight face, when it was five-year-old Katie's turn to name the lamb, she inexplicably named it Donkey Balls. This amused him to no end.

Dan's wife was also fond of the sheep and would give them a treat while she was visiting them. A particular ram was partial to Snickers bars. Betty had given him a taste since he was small and now that he was big, he decided he wanted more than a taste. When she tried to leave the pen he butted her back, again, again, again and again. He would not allow her to leave and she had no more candy. Tim saw what was happening from the market across the street and ran to the rescue. Dan would have tears in his eyes while remembering this occurrence.

Time to find the cache.
