Geocache Description:

Cormorant Bay cache is for those who like to get off the beaten path. This cache is placed at the end of a county road. It has public access, but is bordered on both sides by private land, so be careful to not cross the fence lines. The road is on this less seen west coast of Orcas Island and ends at the beach. There are signs posting the end of the public road, so please respect the neighbors and don't go beyond the Limpet Lane sign.

I'm sorry to say I will no longer be able to care for this Cache. Please let me know if you are able and willing to PLEASE ADOPT THIS CACHE.

The cache was placed here to get people out to see the natural beauty of Orcas Island.

Everyone can use the wonderful right of public access to beaches, so take advantage of this easy to follow road. The cache is very close to the beach on the public side of the fence. Cachers/Hikers should respect the rules, and not cross the fence lines. There should be no reason to go over or around any fence.

To find the cache turn on to Cormorant Bay Road and follow the dirt road to Limpet Lane. You should be able to see the beach from the road sign. There is one parking space that is close to the cache, but it should only be used to turn your vehicle around. The road beyond the Limpet Lane is private, so please park in one of the two parking spaces and walk the final 30 yards to the beach. Be nice and smile at all the residents from the road, but be careful to not go where it has been posted.

The cache is a Lock & Lock container with the Official Geocaching Sticker on top. Original contents included a logbook, McDonald's meal "Chicken Little" movie toy, plastic apple, cereal box toy, mini blue highlighter, 2007 Boy Scout Klondike Derby patch, bottle opener key ring, two AA batteries, flash light bulb, and a rosary.

Congratulations to McDavid080808 for being the "First to Find" the cache.
