Come out and celebrate a "night of 9's" -- 09/09/09 09:09! Tonight's the last of the single digits for quite a while, 1001 years to be precise. If you miss this event you'll have to wait a hundred years for the next 09/09/09, so come out and celebrate!
For a "trivial pursuit", think of how many significant things involve the number "9". Prize awarded for the following "nifty nine" geo-question: (1) What's the 9th geocache placed on the Island that's still active?
So, come out and grab a coffee and some face-time with fellow Island cachers. Swap caching tales, trade travel bugs and geocoins, and talk about caching buddies who are too lazy to show up! New to the sport? Come out and ask questions. Got puzzle-cache problems? Bring your questions. Plagued by DNFs? Ask for hints. Thinking of putting out a new cache or series? Brag about it and pique some interest. But, most of all, come out and be a part of "Island Caching".
A special commemorative "10th Anniversary of Geocaching in Canada" geocoin will be up for grabs as a special door prize.
