Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The times: 10:00 to 2:00 for this GET-TO-GETHER.
Be sure to log a "WILL ATTEND" note on THE event @ Geocaching.com, so we'll know IF you're coming, or not. :-) You're welcome to bring along some Friends, Muggles, and/or Spoilers to this Cache Bash... As we can then "show" them what ALL we do while Geocaching... MORE and MORE people need to be involved in this WONDERFUL Sport!!

Just a note: We're sorry we didn't have one of these annual events last Fall, as most of you know, Carol and I were VERY flooded in the Floods of 08.. By Fall, we were ready for a "break", so we went on our Fall GeoTrip (EXCURSION), of 4800 miles, almost 400 Caches, in 15 Western States, 5 National Parks, and 5 days in Las Vegas!!

"PIT" toilets are available, as the showers, restrooms, etc., "might" be closed for the season..
Camping IS also available, IF there is NO snow.. Some 30 Amp. service is available and LOTS of 20 Amp. elect Service is available at the other campsites. There is an area for tents also..
We would like ALL Geocachers and/or "wannabe" Geocachers to attend this FINAL Hoorah, for the 2009 season...

Those that make GREAT soups AND/OR homemade Chilie Soup, bring it for a "POT LUCK", for those of us that don't make soup so well.. We ALSO want to grill some hot-dogs, burgers, and/or brats. (So bring whatever you want grilled).. IF you can think of anything else to bring along for "POT LUCK", that'll be welcome too.. Desserts, cakes, salads, buns, etc., etc. (USE your imagination)... (You "might" want to post on your "will attend" log, as to what you'll be bringing, so others won't "duplicate" what you bring)...
You will also need to bring your own "table service", bowls, paper plates, silverware, drinks, napkins, appetites, etc,....

There are at least 5 Caches IN Rodger's Park, and there are LOTS of them around the Vinton, area. We will try get out 6-7 NEW ones for the event also..
So it WILL be worth you while to come for some GREAT food and a fun day of Geocaching..

REMEMBER, this is IOWA and as always, there is plenty of Poison Ivy, thorns, and "un-knowns" in the woods, so please be CAREFUL, and watch the kids, so they don't get into it.. There also is a lake here, so please watch your kids at all times.. Especially the "little ones"..

The Event is going to be IN the enclosed shelter house (at the listed coords)... It has a wood burning stove for heat, IF required. (Let's hope it's warm outside and/or NOT raining OR snowing)!!!

I have a small gas grill, so IF you have one, please bring it too.. We may need one/two more... Let me know.. THANKS..
