Geocache Description:

IMPORTANT: AS OF 09/02/10
Anyone caching in the area should ring the Police on 0845 606 02 47 giving their name, address, date of birth and vehicle details so they are aware of them caching, therefore any future reports from residents can be matched with details given.
**Due to residents reporting cachers as suspicious**

A small Lock'n'Lock box placed near a nice viewpoint for the sight that is the coal pile that feeds Drax Power Station.
Looking out from (near) this point gives a brilliant view of how immense a scale of operation Drax Power is on, and it should be, being the biggest coal-fired power station in the country.

This is meant to be approached from the previous DEW cache (#4), approximate waypoints for the route are given below.

Coming from the previous cache, walk along the path, and take the right turn when the path forks. It's now best to trust the GPS from here for the next 0.15miles(ish)

This cache contains half the CO-ORDINATES CLUE for the DEW Start/Final Cache. Bring a Pen/Pencil.

A word of warning, the security guards at Drax may question you. This is purely for safety, for obvious reasons (as you may have seen in the news over the past year), so just tell them your cause and they'll let you on your way. You are using public footpaths for the whole walk, so you've nothing to be worried about
If you now follow this path upwards, you can get to a viewpoint for the powerstation coal pile. It is recommended you take this route to continue the trail (See DEW#6 for more details).

Route image attached to cache description.

26.09.09: Route from DEW#5 to DEW#6/7 is very flooded, upto 2 foot in some places. Unless you're willing to wade, I'd suggest backtracking and starting the route for #6->#11 from drax village. However, I would suggest attempting the planned route, if it is passable.
16.05.10: Seems at this time of year you'l have no trouble passing from DEW#5 to DEW#6/7 via the recommended route, but be aware there is a peanut husk plant on the route for those with allergies.
