Geocache Description:

This cache was placed with the permission of the Marina owners. Please be respectful of the directions given.

This cache was placed while we were on vacation in the Black Hills. We camped at Pactola Lake. The title comes from the story of a Mountain Lion being sighted wandering about in the tent section of the camping grounds the day before we arrived. I guess it scared one family so badly they packed up and left the area. We, on the other hand, hoped for a sighting but never got the opportunity. The lake is gorgeous. If you have time head on in and there is a lovely trail located in the back that takes you along the back portion of the lake. It's called the Osprey Trail. The cache is a dog i.d. tube. It can be located without actually going through the gates of the marina. We placed it this way because in the off season the marina is closed. Please be respectful of this and do not go past the gates if they are closed. If they are open by all means please take the time to venture in and say hi & thanks to Nancy & Dave, the owners, for their willingness to maintain this cache. After you find it, if you do, you can take a left exiting the marina and take the back road to get to highway 385. It's a pretty drive.
