Geocache Description:

SHORT DESCRIPTION: A simple, traditional cache; # 7 of a walk along the coast of Broadstairs, loosely following part of the Viking Trail. You are looking for a small, plastic box. STEALTH REQUIRED and smile for the CCTV camera!

LONG DESCRIPTION:
This is # 7 of a set of caches placed along the coast of Broadstairs, loosely following part of the Viking Cycle Trail. (visit link) It is a simple, traditional cache. The difficulty rating is due to the number of muggles in the area. The town has strong connections with Charles Dickens. Bleak House and The Dickens Museum are both within a short stroll. You are at one of my girls’ favourite spots. Close by is a bandstand (heavily used in Folk Week); access to Viking Bay beach, with activities such as jumping on trampolines, fishing for crabs, having rides and a tricky cache (#8)! It is also home to the Crazy Golf course, where you can enjoy an après-putt cup of hot chocolate or ice cream!

Louisa Bay is easily reached from this point and is a little more tranquil than Viking Bay, if you just want to relax and enjoy the sun/sea.

As well as a Dickens festival, Broadstairs hosts a very interesting Folk Week in August. So you may be here to act, play, sing, dance or be merry! (visit link)

So, what about the cache?
You are looking for a small, plastic box in an area overrun by muggles. Suggest the usual ruse of tying shoelaces or rearranging a back pack when searching!

MAX STEALTH NEEDED please – particularly when the crazy golf is open. Oh and don’t forget to smile for the nearby CCTV camera!

When placed, the cache contained:
Pencil and Clown ‘Flick’ Log Book – Since there are some good entertainers at the bandstand. (Please leave log book.)
Action Man shorts - in case you got wet going for a swim.
Butterfly – for the well maintained gardens nearby.
Crazy Invention Pad – for Crazy Golf ideas and
€100 note for FTF – Don’t get too excited – it’s just Monopoly Money!
