Geocache Description:

Do you ever wonder where the highest point is in WA that you can drive your car? Ask no more - grab your GPS and go!!

Mount Nameless overlooks Tom Price and stands at 1128m above sea level, it is the highest 4WD accessible "mountain" in Western Australia. From the summit the view is spectacular you will see the Pilbara Iron (Rio Tinto) Mine, the Tom Price township and the surrounding hills and plains. A gravel road provides access to 4WD vehicles only - you can drive your car up to the gate and walk from there. There is also a walking trail to the summit which can be reached via the Caravan Park. The walk involves a bit of climbing, however there are rails along these areas and is well worth it. This walk will take approximately 1.5 hours round trip going at a medium pace. Dont forget to take some water with you, Oh and your camera! Every July a King of the Mountain Run / Walk is held - everyone is welcome to join in. The cache is in a small container and holds all the regulatory items plus a few goodies. There is a couple of our Pathtags for the first to finders too. (Cache hidden at 1125M) If you are touring and not staying at the caravan park you can leave your van outside the speedway gate while you go for the cache.
