Triangle Travel Bug Hotel and Coin Vault Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

StealthRT: Bankers have responded. They will not support funding the rebuilding of the Resort in this location during this economy. Negotiations will continue and hopefully the Resort will be resurrected someday soon. For now, though, The Triangle Travel Bug Resort must be archived. Many thanks to all who visited and to all TBs who enjoyed luxury like they never knew.

Geocache Description:

Travel Bug hotel with quick and easy access from Interstate 435,
Interstate 470, Highway 50, and Highway 71. This TB hotel serves
the Triangle and Three Trails Crossing area.

Conveniently located at one of the state’s busiest traffic
junctions, this is not your father’s motor lodge. This is no TB Inn
Express. This is a huge Travel Bug Resort. A 5.56 MM Ammo Can will
allow your TBs to feel more pampered than ever before. What a
wonderful place to pass a few days while awaiting new transit
opportunities.

coin vault

This resort is so large that it even has a coin vault for those
sweet coins you want safe from evil muggles.

coin vault

You might expect to bushwhack hundreds of feet to get to such a
wonderful TB haven. In reality, this sanctuary for TBs and coins is
just barely off a wide paved trail. In fact, the hotel is less than
100 feet from parking (suggested at N 38 56.136 W 094 31.230).
Who could ask for more?

If you are coming through the triangle, stop by. We don’t have
any lights to leave on for you, though, so if the stars are shining
bright, stop by another day.

This cache is camoed in a way to prevent muggles from seeing and
ensure cachers do. For the 1 in 50 cachers who tend to not replace
camo, please make an exception on this cache and plan to take 30
seconds after replacing the cache, to replace the camo as you found
it. If you really cannot spare the 30 seconds, drop me an email and
I’ll happily go replace the camo for you.

When placed, this cache was stocked with:
TBs
Trackable coin
Red peace necklace
Toys
Stickers
Stuffed lion who roars when you squeeze his left paw
A nearly 20-year-old football card of the great Mike Ditka!
