Coed Doctor 3: Lake View Traditional Cache

Coed Doctor is a community woodland that is owned and maintained by Gwynedd Council. The woodland and adjoining land has been known as Coed Doctor, because a local Doctor called Dr Lloyd Williams once owned the land.
You will find Coed Doctor at the North end of the High Street in Llanberis just before the road joins the A4086. The entrance is here (N 53 07.464 W 004 07.819) and there is plenty of parking nearby. Alternatively, there is a entrance off Ffordd Clegir (N 53 07.294 W 004 08.084) that leads up to the location of Snowdon View Micro 6 geocache which you could complete afterwards.
The geocaches hidden in this woodland are all reachable from the designated footpaths. You will need a pair of boots as the ground can be muddy. Not wheelchair accessible. The caches have been placed in locations to prevent damage to the local habitat and wild life. The tree cover here is reasonably extensive so you will need to be careful with your GPS readings. Because of the potential issues with poor GPS signals, I have included hints which are fairly detailed as these should help narrow your search in the event of poor satellite coverage.
This cache overlooks the lake called Llyn Tomos Lewis - originally this would have formed part of the old quarry workings in this woodland, but is now flooded. This is the best view point of the lake.
The lake supports many brown trout and many different species of birds with the coot, tufted duck and mallard being the most regular users along with the moorhen who nests on the banks during spring. Other regulars to the lake are the common frog and toad who spawn amongst the bank vegetation during early spring.
This is a small Klik-Lok container with a logbook and pen. There is space to hold small items.
