Drive-in cache along parallell road to E39.
"Temperature-cache" - please log temperature inside cache using the small thermometer placed in it.

Denne cachen ligger langs den gamle hovedveien mellom Stavanger og Kristiansand. Cachen ligger i nærheten av puben "Blå lagune" som holder til i en renovert låve.

Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Ueland (født 28. oktober 1799, død 9. januar 1870) var en norsk politiker og stortingsrepresentant. Ueland kom fra lave samfunnslag, men arbeidet seg frem til å bli en ledende politiker. Han regnes sentral i å folkeliggjøre politikk i Norge. Han banet vei for at også personer fra fattige kår kunne oppnå politiske posisjoner.

Ueland var født inn i en bondefamilie på gården Skaaland i Lund sokn i Dalane. Som ung het han Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Skaaland. Han var nest eldst av fire søsken, og ble foreldreløs i 1814. Til tross for mangelfull formell utdanning, viste han evne til læring og lesing. 17 år gammel ble han bedt om å undervise barna i området. Innen 1827 hadde han gjennom giftermål blitt eier av gården Ueland. I 1825 giftet han seg med gårdsjenta Marthe Gurie Osmundsdatter Ueland. Han arbeidet som klokker i Heskestad i Lund kommune.
I 1833 ble han valgt inn på Stortinget, der han satt som representant frem til 1869. Han ble leder for bondebevegelsen, og nøt respekt for sitt politiske syn. I 1859 dannet han, sammen med Johan Sverdrup, den politiske sammenslutningen Reformforeningen. Foreningen bestod av stortingsrepresentanter som i særlig grad gikk inn for demokratiske reformer. Det er reist minnestøtte av Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Ueland på Steinsland på Ualand i Lund kommune for å hedre hans minne.

This cache is located along the old main road between Stavanger and Kristiansand. The cache is placed close to the pub "The Blue Lagune", located in an old renovated barn.

Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Ueland (born 28 October 1799, died 9 January 1870) was a Norwegian politician and Member of Parliament. Ueland came from the lower class, but he worked his way to become a leading politician. He had a central role in making politics available for the people. He made way so that people from poor families also could have political positions.

Ueland was born into a peasant family at Skaaland in Lund in Dalane. He was born Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Skaaland. He was the second oldest of four and became an orphan in 1814. Even though he lacked formal education, he showed skills of learning and reading. At the age of 17 he was asked to teach the local children. In 1825 he married the farm girl Marthe Gurie Osmundsdatter Ueland and became the owner of the Ueland farm. He worked as a parish clerk in Heskestad in Lund.

In 1833 he was elected to Parliament, where he served until 1869. He became a leader for a peasant movement where people had great respect for his political views. In 1859 he formed, together with Johan Sverdrup, the political organization Reform Committee. This organization consisted of parliamentary representatives that worked for democratic views. There is a memorial column of Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen Ueland at Steinsland at Ualand in Lund municipality to honor his memory. (Source: wikipedia.no)
