At the top of a hill called Suikerboskop, under a rock. Cache is in a brown plastic lock tight box. It's quite well hidden. I have placed a small rock cairn nearby.
A good place to start your search is at S25'24.412; E030'06.437. There is a small fee of R5 per person to enter the reserve, it's worth it. Stick to the pathway, when you're on top of the hill heading towards the cache, you'll notice a dug out area. This is where the Boers positioned a "Long Tom" cannon to protect against a British advancement along the Belfast road into Dullstroom in 1900 during the Anglo-Boer war. Apparently one of the cannon balls was accidentally shot through the roof of the old Dutch Reformed Church opposite The Dullstroom Inn, before Dullstroom fell to the British. (For more info read Commando Courageous by R.W. Schikkerling and see GC2KP4V). Cache is 15cm x 11cm x 4cm, covered in brown box tape to camouflage it a bit. Includes various objects. Pls follow the instuctions in the log book. It's a great walk with amazing views of Dullstroom. It will take less than and hour and a half to complete. You should also look for GCQ579 while you're on the hill. (Also visit cache GC2KP4V for an awesome history of Dullstroom)
