Latvia’s most impressive and best preserved complex of castle ruins, and the most popular sight in Cesis.
Cesis Stone Castle was one of the Livonian Order’s strongest fortress in the Baltic. Only Viljandi Castle in Estonia was a stronger fortification. Cesis Stone Castle was the residence of the master of the order. Construction began in 1207 and was completed 30 years later. The castle suffered badly in the wars of the 16th and 17th century, and after destruction in the Northern War it was never rebuilt.
To find the cache you must go for a little walk through Cesis Old Town, there you will find numbers for final coordinates.
