This park is dedicated to Lyle Anderson who worked for the city of Moorabbin for 36 years designing the parks and public spaces. Cache is now a nano.
This is a new cache to make it harder for muggles and hopefully stem the number of disappearing caches.
This park is dedicated to Lyle Anderson who worked for the
city of Moorabbin for 36 years designing the parks and public
spaces - what a job!
Moorabbin used to be one of the biggest councils in
Melbourne and was in constant competition with Caulfield
as to who was the bigger. We originally moved into the
suburb of Moorabbin West back in 1994 and people would
say "Oh...that's near Moorabbin Airport then" - and I'd have
to explain that it takes me 10-15 minutes to drive there!
Now Moorabbin airport is nowhere near Moorabbin and my
suburb is now called Hampton East in the latest council
carve-ups.
This is an absolute cracker of a park,
you don't find many like these - the landscaping is superb,
there is a substantial kiddies playground, a BBQ, toilets,
excellent car parking...and chances are...you'll have the place
to yourself as no-one knows about this place! And the birdlife
here is the most colourful I have ever seen.
I only stumbled upon it using satellites to scan the
surrounds. You don't have to worry about the littlies getting
on to the train tracks as the park is fully fenced off.

I pondered hiding a large number of caches in this park
with only one being the correct one and making it a
mystery...but then this would not be a fun park!...enjoy
Note: if you stand at the old co-ordinates and treat it as a night cache it will be a very quick find.
