Victoria Tower is a Martello Tower and was the last to be built on Jersey. As it was built in 1837 it was named after the new Queen - Victoria.

It had 2 purposes - to inhibit any one landing at Anne Port and to deny enemy access to Gorey Castle

It is the only tower in Jersey to have a moat 4 m wide and 3 m deep and it has a traditional drawbridge.

Enjoy the views across Anne Port to St Catherines breakwater

and from the otherside across the Royal Bay of Grouville
