Geocache Description:

A fairly challenging geocache hidden in a large area of blueberry bushes.

From the time I was a little kid growing up in the 90's to the 19 year old I am now, I have been going to this mountain (Pitcher Mountain) to pick blueberries from the lush bushes. I would hike up here on one path to pick blueberries with the family, enjoy the beautiful view and the ranger station on the summit, and make the beautiful hike down the mountain on another path, passing beautiful farm fields along the way. This is one of the most memorable places in my childhood, and I hope other people, like myself, can enjoy it with their own eyes.

The cache itself is a large pretzel container hidden somewhere in the blueberry bushes of the mountain. Although the cache is not very hard to find, getting there can be a bit of a challenge. There are two main trails that I know of that will take you to the summit, and once you get to the top, there is a maze of small paths and trails running through the seemingly endless blueberry bushes. Watch out for muggles picking blueberries and an assortment of wildlife in the area (although rare, bears are sometimes spotted in the area). Once found, please put the cache back exactly how it was before. This is not a winter friendly cache, so I highly recommend not try looking for this one within the months of December-February. If you are not in a rush to find the geocache, please take some time to pick some of the best tasting blueberries in New Hampshire. Good luck!!
