Hickory Hills Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Iowa.Landmark: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Small cache big enough for log and small swag.

Be cautious when parking. Placed with permission by land owner. Please tread lightly.

This cache is a replacement for the "Y-cache" that was lost in the flood in 2008. The original cache ended up under 10ft of river water. The flood took over 23,000 acres of farmland and hundreds of family homes that will never be rebuilt. Please note in log your hometown and state. Home owners like to see where your from. Also feel free to ring the bell and say "HI".

Cache starting contents: Spine key chain, sea shell, 1976 commerative key chain, buckeye, and arrow head.
