An outer camo jar conceals an inner cache container containing log book,pencils, and a small goodie bag,with some room for Travel Bugs and Geocoins to stay.
At the end of Corcoran Road is the starting point for the Tirohanga Track.
Up here you will also find a Public picnic area.
Known to some and undiscovered by many,it is a mere 300m stroll from the Corcoran Road end carpark.
It commands some stunning views to the NNW-NNE.
Best time to visit,sunny day as this will provide the best views.
A cache here is an opportunity to explore the lower reaches of Mount Pirongia
This may suit people who find the upper mountain reaches beyond there comfort zone.
Walk in is on hard formed gravel trail,suitable for strollers.
Wheelchairs may be able to access,although there is a "Kissing Gate" to enter through.
This may pose a width obstacle for wheelchairs.
This spot also serves as an area to rest after completing the higher levels of Pirongia.
Worth a visit up here and a tea/coffee,picnic here on the right day is priceless,because its Free.
