Short Mountain View Traditional Cache

Top of a small mountain near Castlemaine/ Tralee
To reach the cache take the Castlemaine-Tralee Road N70. If you're coming from Castlemaine going to Tralee take the first junction left after the Castlemaine place-name sign.
If you are driving towards Castlemaine turn right on the first crossing (not junction) and left at the next one.
The cache is hidden near a lovely view point on top of Short Mountain. You can park your car at the first view point at N 52° 12.785', W 009°42.305', where you have a lovely view of the Dingle Bay and Killorglin. Or you can park some metres away at N 52°12.613' W 009° 42.314 looking down the opposite direction. Unfortunately some people seem to mistake that place for a rubbish dump, so just try to ignore it and enjoy the view!
The Cache is placed at about 1 km from the car park. It's a nice walk down the hill, but if you prefer it the convenient way, you can also drive directly to the cache.
