a simple puzzle to get the actual coordinates for the
cache.
OK, Mr. tessandfriends is an Engineer by training. We know that
this may bring up all sorts of Nerdy images but nevertheless, he is
somewhat proud of it. (By the way, the noun “Nerd”
originated at his alma mater, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Apparently, back in the 60’s, the student newspaper generally
referred to hard partying fraternity types as “drunks”.
Shortly thereafter, any slide rule carrying, academically inclined,
less socially adept student became known as a “Knurd”
– “drunk” spelled backwards. This eventually
evolved into “Nerd”.) So, in honor of all those Nerdy
Engineers out there, here’s a puzzle just for you
All you have to do is determine the sixth number in this
sequence:
1, 2, 6, 42, 1806, _______??
It is been claimed that an Engineer can solve this in 3 minutes.
Architects can solve it in 3 hours and Doctors in 6 hours. We
don’t know if that’s true or not, but give it a try.
Then, starting with A, assign a letter of the alphabet to each
digit, reading from left to right, and go to the following
