How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

First things first, please be aware that the cache IS at the posted coordinates, BUT, you must read and follow all of the requirements to log this cache!

Failure to follow the listed rules WILL result in your log being deleted.

Located in Little Indian Creek WMA. Please remember to take proper precautions during hunting season/s.

To be able to claim a find on this cache, you will need to first find at least one cache in every difficulty/terrain combination (81 unique combinations). As part of those finds, you'll also need to find at least one of each of the cache types below (the different cache types DO count against the 81, so if you find a 3.5/3.5 multi-cache, it fulfills both requirements.)

Required Cache Types Optional Cache Types
Traditional Cache Mega-Event
Multi Cache Adventure Exhibits
Mystery Cache Wherigo
CITO Event Locationless
Letterbox Hybrid Project APE
Earthcache Virtual Cache
Event Cache Webcam Cache

The rules:

1. All previous cache finds count - you do NOT start your count from the beginning.
2. All finds (except the Event and CITO Events) must be on caches that were published BEFORE the published date of this cache. 01/01/2017
(This is to avoid caches being placed just to meet the requirements.)
3. Your finds can be in any state or country.
4. No rating changes of existing caches will be accepted as counting towards your goal.
5. These must be caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged.
(General rules, guidelines and conditions, as stated by Geocaching.com, for logging a cache find apply.)
6. No logging finds on caches you own will be allowed.
7. If you have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find.
8. All caches logged as FOUND for this challenge cache must have been placed with the intent to meet the requirements of their D/T (Difficulty/Terrain) rating as outlined on Geocaching.com.
9. Finds without the proper verification/documentation WILL be deleted.

Remember, please follow these rules to maintain a level playing field for everyone. Keep in mind we are primarily operating on the honor system here. Help keep it honest.

How do you track your caches? There are five options:

1. Create a bookmark list.
2. Create a list on your profile page.
3. Upload your "My Finds" PQ to It's Not About The Numbers
4. Use FizzyMagic's FindStats Program (requires download)
5. Save the following chart image and edit it using something like MS Paint to fill in the squares with the GC number for each cache.
Note: If you are using the image as conformation of your cache finds, please include in your "Found it" log a list of those GC codes that are being used to fulfill the cache type requirements.

To get credit for this find (and keep your find from being deleted) you must post one of the following with your found log:
1. A link to a bookmark list showing all the caches that meet the requirements.
2. A link to your profile page.
3. A link to your page on ItsNotAboutTheNumbers showing your finds.
4. Upload the photo of the above chart image you created.

You must POST A LINK or SCREENSHOT of your 81 QUALIFYING CACHES on this page to log a FIND!

The final cache location is actually a difficulty/terrain rating of 1.5/2.. The 5 for the difficulty rating is based on the need to find a 5 difficulty to qualify to log this cache.

And now for the fun!!!
Please post notes with any updates/links/photos or general progress at will!
