This is our first ever cache. We've placed it in Weston Hills, Baldock as this was our dog, Jess's favourite walk. Weston Hills was originally planted with Beach trees so the locals could use the wood to make furniture! Now you will find many species of trees and wildlife in the now managed woodland.
There is parking at N 51 58.537, W 000 11.128. If you take the right route up the steps you'll have a more physical walk than if you take the route to the left. The woods are crisscrossed with paths and the GPS signal is weak under the tree canopies.
I would take the high route as you eventually get to see wonderful views across Baldock and beyond.
The cache has the usual log book and two Travel Bugs from my daughters. Please leave the pencil sharpener in the cache.
I'VE HAD TO RELOCATE THE CACHE FOLLOWING IT BEING VANDALISED. PLEASE MAKE SURE IT PLACED EXACTLY WHERE FOUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUGGLES!!!
