Forest Fig occur from South Africa up to Equatorial Africa. They are pollinated by wasps.
Not a special or rare tree, but this is a fine specimen.
I just love the stately peace that it radiates and the depth of the shade.
Take a moment and enjoy meeting the tree. Looking for the cache will introduce you to it's interesting trunk.
The cache is located in the grounds of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. A (worthwhile) entrance fee is applicable. I wouldn't suggest doing the cache simply for the sake of doing the cache.
