The marriage stone says 1734 but when the current owners did major refurbishment in 1993 they found a canopy fireplace built outside the gable end wall which dates the property around 1650.

In around 1950 a welsh slate rook was badly put on which allowed water to run down the inside walls. and it was the current owners who took off the slate and put on the Norfolk reed roof after much research into how the house would have looked in the 1700's
