A typical urban cache. This area is wheelchair accessible, flat
even ground. Bus service directly to the location on the 214 rt.
Runs every 30 min on a loop (runs on the east west loop, then 30
min later on the west east loop. Just swap bus stop sides of the
street) Uses stealth....Sunday NOT a good day to stop by this. It'
is well lit for night caching. As always use caution night caching,
but area is generally safe for the quick grab.
Container is slightly larger than an Altoids type container. Can
hold v. small trade items, and geocoins with no trouble. There is a
log, bring your own writing tool.
The original sanctuary building was dedicated on April 20, 1975.
Now the Family Life Center. On December 1, 2006, the First AME
family celebrated 40 years of faith with a wonderful Ruby Jubilee
Grand Finale. First AME and Rev. Williamson broke ground on April
27, 2008 to begin construction of the new state-of-the-art
sanctuary in which to worship. The new building has only recently
(spring 2009) been completed and opened.
My Girl Scout Troop completed several service projects with this
group in the early 00's.
