Two stage multi cache placed along Chautauqua Creek in the village of Westfield. Parking is at N 42 19.463, W 79 35.255.
He never visited the house of the old man who lived next door, until the night he died. He couldn’t explain why, but he entered his home and soon found himself in the man’s cluttered basement, where somehow he knew the combination to the lock that was on a chest hidden in the dark. Using a flashlight he opened it up and moved aside the books and papers to uncover a small black metal box, with a magnetic base that he instinctively took.
Going back to his own house he opened the box to reveal its contents, a small silver coin, wrapped in aluminum foil.
It was the boy’s 13th birthday.
Over the next several years the boy kept it with him always and did whatever it commanded.
Then after a series of horrific events, while on the run from the authorities, he answered its last request. He hid it, not long before he was captured.
Today he sits, like he has for the past 34 years. Waiting to escape his solitary confinement and return to it.
