Geocache Description:

Come Discover Your Coast!

Come Discover Your Coast! This cache as placed as part of the Coast Week activities put on by the Lake Michigan Coastal Program to encourage people to get out and explore the coastal area in which we live, and by exploring, learning to appreciate the cultural, historic, and natural resources of the area. Coast Week is held every September. The dates are September 5-13, 2009.

The cache is located at Indiana Dunes State Park, the 2nd highest visited state park in Indiana. Indiana Dunes is a treasure trove of unique natural and cultural resources found no where else. Visitors will need to pay the standard entrance gate fees of $4 in state residents weekdays, $5 in state residents weekends, and $10 out of state residents.

The cache can be accessed by parking in the West Lot and continuing up the staircase to the Trail 3 trail head. Enjoy the view up here.
